2011 Half Year: A Mixed Bag

The first half of 2011 has been a mixed bag for my life...

The year started with 3 months in my new organization. It has been good 3 months with all the new things to learn and work on with new faces.. (Though none of them are pretty :( , but are good at heart) .

Anywayz.. In the month of Jan, TISA decided to conduct 'Chennai Chapter' successful run for 3years with some interaction. Since, Dr. Sachin (TISA Founder) & JP (My school mate and also one of TISA founder) were also decided to make themself aviablable... I decided to Join them. This also gave me chance to visit Sagar anna... The chennni meet was scheduled on 24th and 25th Jan 2011. I participitaed in the meet and it was a good exp meeting JP (whom i don't remembered that he stammered) and Sachin sir. Anywayz.. Jan ended so so..

The Feb came and I was looking for some treking. Satish decided to organized a trek on the eve of Valentine day and i decided to attend that. The difficulty level was Tough.

At the end of Feb, it was decided by me/Vineet to visit Gokarna beach during 1st week of March along with Prikanya & her friends. However, the same cannot be done since Vineet got buzy with his work and hence I decided to skip it. This is one of the mistake done during this yr since the next visit we can't say when it will be.. Anywayz later Priyanka updated that there is a BASC event on visit to Mullungiri is coming up in late march and she will be joining. Hmmm.. in the late it came and I joined Priyanka, Rajesh, AK, Abhi, Sourish for this trip+trek event.

Also I decided to visit Kolkata during June. That means March ended with high note!!!

Here comes April: This was also the time when Cricket World Cup was going on and India was performing pretty well as the WC progressed. They were able to nail Australia in Quaters and then Pakis in semis. The WC final was on 2nd April, on my Birthday. Hence, with a hope of India winning the Cricket WC 2011, I joined Vineet to watch the match at his home. Dhoni played a superb inning and it was India who were the winners...It is one of the moment which I am going to cherish for long time. The month of April went well with less work pressure and the month ended fine with the news that Prasad (My Bikemate, ClassMate, Best Friend) is going to be married. During the good Friday holiday at end of April, I joined BASC team to trek Kodiakanal - Munnar via Old Jeep Route.

Next came May.. with summer starting Bangalore is best place to Live in India. At the end of May, I visited Hyderabad for Prasad's Marriage. In the mean time I also met Vikas, Krupal, Ravi, Bade Bhaiya. My Didi reached Kolkata for summer vaction with her 2kids.
At the beginning of June, I went to Kolkata to have a meet with near and dear ones.

Unexpected Events in Life

In 1999 for watching cricket WC, dad agreed to purchase a color TV. We watched and njoyed every moment of it. India did reached quaters but lost most of the matches and Hence, no semi berth. Anywayz... SA & AUS produced the match of WC.. did I have to say that...:)

It was after this summer cricket, I was watching old Hindi movie "Anand" directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee staring Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan. There is a dialogue in the movie written by Gulzar that goes like this

"ज़िंदगी और मौत उपरवाले के हाथ है जहापानाजिसे ना आप बदल सकते हैं ना मैं...
 हम सब तो रंगमंच की कठपुतलियाँ हैं जिसकी डोर उस उपर वाले के हाथों मैं है..
 कब, कौन कहाँ उठेगा ये कोई नहीं जनता..."

Well it means, "We are mere puppets in the game of life and death. Whatever happens here, we do not know for it is all in the hands of the Almighty.". I thought it is not true... It cannot be like that. A person is alone responsible for his last days.

Fast Forward... 8yrs later on the day of Bengali New Year, my father wakeup @night and said he is unable to breathe properly and hence and hence insisted me to take to hospital. I did. He shifted to Military Hospital within 2hrs after giving oxygen and saline. Later, we went into SIL (Seriously Ill) state. Mom & I prayed to God for his good will and soon He was OK. We later found out, he had minor heart attack..

Fast Forward..4yrs later (2011), On the first day of my visit to Kolkata after joining new Job.. I found that my "Mama" (Mother's Brother) met with an accident. Initially we thought, It is some minor accident with bruises in leg since he walks very cautiously. My sister & I visited him to find that he has serious head injuries along with fractured  leg & hand. Further… blood continued to come out of his mouth and hence, he was unable to accept any blood. He had a minor surgery near his throat and soon he slipped into coma. He remained on same condition for next 5days before accepting death. Inspite of showing him to best of Doctors (Country's Top Most, Neuro Surgeon).. he didn't came back. It came as a shock to me and realized what the lines of "Anand" movie really meant.

Daily such things (Accidents) are heard in news and when it happens to your near one... one realizes the seriousness of the things.

Bad Day at Work

Well everyone have bad day @ work.. and yesterday was my day :(.
Yesterday, i had the worst day at office till now.. well in 3.5 yrs of experience. The  things aren't moving due to too much dependency. Also my own artifacts were getting curroputed due to unknown reasons. Infact this the 1st time I had to stay long due to project demand.. Well, will this get counted. I guess "NO". Because, the big people won't agree their mistake. Is this the scenario everywhere...?? Simply No Idea. In fact after going back from office i couldn't concentrate. Gave hell of comments on my friend's FB status and pics. Liked hell lot of pics for no reason...
And finally while browsing i got this quote:

“No day is so bad it can't be fixed with a nap.” - carrie . P

Hmmm.. well said.
I took the nap, refreshed 2day and writing the blog :).

Till now, no comments on the artifacts which got corrupted yesterday.
Seems to be going smoothly.

Face the terrible, Face it boldly

Hi All,
Just wanted to share a story as told by Swami Vivekananda ....

Once when I was in Varanasi, I was passing through a place where there was a large tank of water on one side and a high wall on the other. It was in the grounds where there were many monkeys. The monkeys of Varanasi are huge brutes and are sometimes surly. They now took it into their heads not to allow me to pass through their street, so they howled and shrieked and clutched at my feet as I passed. As they pressed closer, I began to run, but the faster I ran, the faster came the monkeys and they began to bite at me. It seemed impossible to escape, but just then I met a stranger who called out to me, "Face the brutes." I turned and faced the monkeys, and they fell back and finally fled....

That is a lesson for all life--face the terrible, face it boldly. Like the monkeys, the hardships of life fall back when we cease to flee before them. If we are ever to gain freedom, it must be by conquering nature, never by running away. Cowards never win victories. We have to fight fear and troubles and ignorance if we expect them to flee before us.
(From a lecture on "What Is Religion?". Complete Works, 1.338-39.)

The incident just mentioned above is about facing your problems.
How big be your problem be it any disability which cannot be cured .. Just face them upfront. There is no secret way to get rid of it. One has to take the problems as challenge and try to accomplish it. Never be teller (I will do it.. this that..) DO IT.....

Life...Just Going ON

What is life and how do one define it..
People often ask "So Man, How is Life going on!!" And most of the time we say "Ya Man, Just Going ON!!".
What does one meant by "Just Going ON!" .............
Does it mean.. the life is going on as Routine (OR) the person wants a change it life which is just going on. How does one really interpret it..

Do anyone anytime tell about the real self ??? Do anyone really know them properly...

People often thinks I m this.. that.. But I guess it only the people whom you interact can really tell about yourself. This is because they have seen you handling different situations/scenarios.

Now the big question is "Who are those peoples ?"

Friends, Colleagues, Parents and sometimes strangers..

So, Always take advice from this people as everyone has different perception about life and thinks they do and at the end you may have better thought about the same.
